Dr. Trevey obtained her Bachelors in Biology from Northern Illinois
University and then continued her education at the National
University of Health Sciences where she received her Doctorate
of Chiropractic. After graduating she continued her education
with a six-month externship at The Texas Back Institute in Plano,
Texas. There she learned a great deal about multidisciplinary
care; incorporating spinal surgeons, osteopathic physicians,
doctors of chiropractic, physical therapists, physical medicine
and rehab specialists into overall patient care. She also had
the opportunity to work with many post-surgical patients who
did not respond well to surgery, but fortunately benefited from
chiropractic care. Dr. Trevey has been working with people of
all ages including infants and children to help in their growth
and development. Her interest in all ages has peaked since she
has an extensive background in sports and the desire to reduce
the possibility of injury as much as possible.
Dr.Trevey has been in practice for 6 years working with people of all ages including infants and children to help in their growth and development. Certified by the ICPA and in the Webster Technique; she specializes in Pregnancy and Pediatrics. Many patients are treated with chiropractic care throughout their entire pregnancy, decreasing the discomfort and pain and allowing a more comfortable and quicker birthing process. The Webster Technique works wonderfully for those presenting in the Breech position. This specific technique allows the baby to get into the optimal position for labor and delivery. Infants are treated shortly after the birth, within one to two weeks, to evaluate the spine to treat misalignments that occur during the birthing process.
Dr. Trevey has two sons, Christian and Nathanael.
