I would like to take this opportunity to share with you
a bit about myself. I graduated from National University
of Health Sciences where I studied chiropractic sciences
and became certified in acupuncture therapy. At National
I was educated on how to use alternative therapies to treat
a wide variety of conditions. I have been educated, and
performed through clinical internships, the newest techniques
to treat the human body without the use of medications or
surgery. I studied and practiced under Dr. Manuel Duarte
who is certified by the American Board of Chiropractors
of Sports Physicians and the American Board of Chiropractors
in Orthopedics. He was very influential in my understanding
of patient care. I believe that the human body has a unique
ability to heal itself when properly functioning. My mission
at Derry Chiropractic is to use chiropractic techniques
and other alternative therapies to assist the body in reaching
optimal wellness and becoming partners in your health. I
am excited for the opportunity to serve the community and
continue to work hard.
Where I’m from…
I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois and am the youngest sibling of six. My sister Amy is Dr. Trevey who founded Derry Chiropractic and has been a part of the community for seven years. I have three nieces and four nephews that I love to be around and spend time with. I feel that there is nothing better than having family to share time, love, and hardships with together. My family taught me to be generous, hard working, and humble. My wife Dr. Tanja Sukovic and I have opened our practice within Derry Chiropractic and are excited to start and raise a family in this beautiful state and be positive contributors to the community. We feel that we will help Derry Chiropractic better serve the residents of Parker and the surrounding area.
Where I Went to School...
I went to undergraduate school in Chicago, IL at Saint Xavier University where I played football for four years and was privileged to be team captain my junior and senior seasons. I learned many lessons while playing football such as hard work, dedication, time management, leadership, and teamwork. Having a football background helps me understand the effects of injury and the importance of returning to health. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, pre-medicine.
At National University, I studied every aspect of the human body; its anatomy, the physiologic reactions that take place, pathologies that occur in every system, how to use nutrition effectively, and the latest chiropractic treatments and techniques. I am licensed to perform acupuncture to treat a wide variety of symptoms. I believe that chiropractic medicine and the use of acupuncture together are extremely powerful and successful treatment options to help patients return to optimal wellness.
What I enjoy to do…
In my free time I enjoy staying active outside while downhill
skiing or staying fit by playing a pick up game of basketball.
In my off time, I referee and umpire high school football
games and baseball games. I enjoy the excitement and pure
energy that athletics, teamwork, and competition brings
to the table. I am also a youth football coach in the Parker
Hawks organization. It is awesome watching the kids develop
their skills and become better athletes through hard work
and teamwork. I look forward to being a contributing member
to our community and providing the finest complementary
and alternative medicine to its members.
I look forward to meeting you!
